Introducing the Kaleidoscope Block Swap

Has the winter slump gotten ahold of your sew-jo? This January, after I had written all of my WIP’s down, I felt absolutely uninspired to finish just about any of them. So then of course I went looking for a NEW project to start working on. However, this time, I want all my sewing buddies to join in on the fun!

Introducing the Kaleidoscope Block Swap‼️

SCROLL DOWN TO SIGNUP…

After remembering how much fun we had this summer with our #MiniBlockSwap, Sonya and I decided to have another go at creating all the sweet goodness with our friends. That means get ready to SEW. These blocks are fast, with chain template cutting, easy piecing and speedy results. No, really. I made my sample blocks in one evening, start to finish, making templates included.

We’re using one pattern this time, Kaleidoscope by Abbey Lane Quilts. This pattern has the template page included, but if making & using templates is something new for you, I made a Template Tutorial following how I used both cardboard and actual template plastic. Making up two different sets was great for chain cutting, because I could lay down all of my templates and plan out the prints of the fabric easy peasy. The pattern is written very well in explaining how to cut efficiently using your templates.

Stop in (online option below) the shop right away to sign up, nab a fabric bundle and start sewing away. Make as few as 4 blocks or as many as 20, the equation is simple…

Friends + Blocks = Quilt Tops & Fun!

Our swap will last until March with a Sew Day in February. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram for more details on all the planned goodness.

Not local or able to stop into the shop? No worries, you can do it all online!!!!
