Row-by-Row 2016: Cone Sweet Cone

Introducing our original design in collaboration with local quilt designer Eye Candy Quilts for this year’s Row by Row Experience!!  The theme is Home Sweet Home, and coming up with a design really had us thinking.  What’s home? My (Allie) mind went straight to childhood memories surrounded by cornfields, watering flowers sprawled out over too many acres (thanks mom) and every dramatic meltdown being solved with – you guessed it – ICE CREAM! Living in Lincoln, NE every meltdown can be fixed with a trip to the UNL Dairy Store or Ivanna Cone.

What is ROW by ROW? How about this… it’s like a shop hop, but it’s not… no fees, no cards to stamp, and all summer to play! Simply visit any of the participating shops and receive a free pattern for a row in a quilt. Combine your rows in any way to create a unique quilt that represents the fun you had traveling throughout the summer. Travel with friends, discover new quilt shops and have fun collecting rows!
PRIZES!!! – Yes, there are prizes. For more information on this fun summer sewing tour (of sorts), please swing in and see us. Click here to find other shops participating in the Row by Row Experience.

We call our row “Cone Sweet Cone.” It can be oriented vertically or horizontally in your quilt.  Maybe you just want to use it for a wall hanging, table runner or door hanging.  Kits are available as an in-store purchase only, per rules of the event.  A limited number of kits are available for only $8.95 which includes the free pattern and the supplies to complete one row. Stop by soon before they are all gone.
